HU6 – Challenge 3 – Build a “conversational” Search Engine to Interface With Homes.com

Challenge:
Users are increasingly wanting a more conversational way to interact with their searches. Either on the website or via the ease of use of Amazon’s Dot, Echo, Show & Google’s Home. These devices allow an easy, hands free interface with websites and provide a simple interaction.

Use Cases:
User decides they want to use their Amazon Dot, Echo, Show or Google Home to search for homes.

  • They open the app
  • They are asked a series of questions (for example):
    • “Ok where are you looking to buy?”
    • “What do you think your max price is”
    • “How many bedrooms”
    • “what are your nice to haves vs. must haves”
    • “Great! We have 15 homes that match”
    • The user is presented with a list of properties that match

– They can then choose to connect to the agent that handles the property

    • “want me to connect you with an agent now?”

User goes to a website to conduct their search.

  • They are asked a series of questions (for example):

    • “What do you think your max price is”
    • “How many bedrooms”
    • “what are your nice to haves vs. must haves”
    • “Great! We have 15 homes that match”
    • The user is presented with a list of properties that match

– They can then choose to connect to the agent that handles the property

    • “want me to connect you with an agent now?”
